The work
What you actually get.
Wood soffit and fascia eat the brunt of Sioux Falls weather — sun, snow, freeze-thaw. After 20 years they crack, rot, and become the front door for squirrels and wasps. We wrap them in baked-enamel aluminum so you stop painting, sealing, and patching. Ventilation upgraded in the process — which actually fixes most ice dam issues.
Problems we solve
- Peeling, blistering paint on the soffit every 4 years
- Squirrels chewing through rotted corners
- Ice dams from a closed-off soffit choking ridge ventilation
- Pile of carpenter ants in the eave during a humid August
What’s included
Vented aluminum soffit
Continuous perforation feeds your ridge vent. Most ice-dam-prone homes get a measurable attic temperature drop after this.
Aluminum fascia wrap
Custom-bent over your existing fascia. No more painting. No more rot.
Color-matched to gutters
Same baked-enamel as our gutters. One palette across the whole eave line.
Rotted wood replaced first
We don't wrap rot. Soft spots get cut out and replaced before the aluminum goes on.
How it goes
- 1Eave walk to identify rot, ventilation issues, and access constraints.
- 2Cut and replace rotted lookouts/fascia board.
- 3Install perforated aluminum soffit panels with J-channel.
- 4Bend and lock fascia wrap in single continuous pieces where possible.
- 5Re-hang gutters with corrected pitch.
Frequently asked
Yes — that's the whole point. We don't tear off. We wrap. The aluminum locks over your existing trim so you keep the structural fascia for the gutter hangers.
It fixes one of three causes (under-ventilation). The other two — attic insulation and air-sealing — are roofer territory. Most chronic ice dam homes need all three.
